Katy Koonce, LCSW is a trans-identified psychotherapist from Austin, Texas. In 1998, she founded the first therapist-led
transgender support group in Central Texas. In 2002, she started a transgender-specific psychodynamic therapy group. She has consulted with the Austin State Hospital
to transform policies governing the treatment of transgender patients, and she provides biannual training for students in the Department of Communication Sciences and
Disorders who work with transgender clients through a clinic at the University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender
Health, the American Group Psychotherapy Association, and the International Foundation for Gender Education. She earned her BSW and her MSW at Texas State University.

Paula Buls, LMSW is a trans-activist and psychotherapist also from Austin, Texas. Prior to transitioning,
she worked as a licensed chemical dependency counselor in Austin. She was a founding member of the Transgender Education Network of Texas and has served on the
board of directors of the Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival. Paula has been a presenter at Gender Odyssey, the Queer Texas Conference and the Equality
Texas, State of the State Conference. She received her BS in Psychology and Master of Science in Social Work degrees from The University of Texas at Austin.
She is a licensed master social worker under the clinical supervision of Katy Koonce. Paula is a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health,
the Austin Group Psychotherapy Society, Austin Interpersonal Neurobiology Connection, and the National Association of Social Workers.

Monrovia Van Hoose, LMSW has been the Clinical Director of Out Youth Austin since October 2008. She holds an MSSW from Columbia University and was the first social work intern at the Harvey Milk High School. She earned her BA in English Literature & Cultural Anthropology at The University of Texas at Austin.
Monrovia is currently providing individual, group & family counseling to members of the LGBTQIA community & their allies. She is also facilitating a monthly support group for partners of trans people.
Monrovia specializes in gender identity, sexual orientation, adolescent development, and identity exploration. Monrovia is a kink positive professional and a member of the Austin Group Psychotherapy Society.
